After over 40 hours of work and over 100,000 staples, artist Peter Root‘s “Ephemicropolis” city of staples art installation is complete. Hundreds of variously sized stacks of staples create a tiny urban landscape. By the pinch of Root’s fingertips and meticulous structural organization, his vision came to life. From an aerial view this tiny city-scape bares uncanny resemblance to the architectural chaos and complexity of the concrete jungle. A closer look shows the intricate piecing together of  simple stacks of staples which were broken apart to create tiny skyscrapers to suburban neighbors on the outskirts of the city.
